Universal Expo of IVF baby, 2019

In 2011, Lee Women’s Hospital successfully gathered 1,232 ivf babies and won the first Guinness world record for Taiwan. Now (2019), we hosted the Universal Expo of IVF Baby and sincerely invite our beloved youth and youngsters, friends who are married and had children, or anyone who are interested in participate in this carnival!!

We’ve also invitedour Vice President Chen Chien-jen as the guest of the event on that day to witness the progress of reproductive medicine in Taiwan with us. The well-known and popular writer Queen Illy (Illyqueen)were also invited share her hardship in these years at her age of 40 to give more courage to the mothers who are still struggling on this road. Welcome families who are still struggling or interested to participate and let the angels be born!

Lee Women’s Hospital has cooperated with IVF Foundation for years in devoting to improving the knowledge and techniques for artificial reproduction. So far, more than 20,000 families have been benefited and allowed patients spread over 36 countries and 5 continents to conceive smoothly. The families which have conceived successfully include even the Speaker of the Philippines, or families in the United States, Japan, Canada, and even as far as the Ivory Coast of Africa.

In the past 30 years from 1986 to 2016, we also cooperated with the government's New Southbound Policy to help more than 700 couples from the Philippines, the superb technique in artificial reproduction has also made Taiwan more visible internationally. In recent years, we have even contributed more to improving the live birth rate of IVF babies, by applying AI to embryo transplantation technology, also collaborating with the huge clinical database of Lee Women’s Hospital to develop the 3.5th-generation artificial reproductive technology, the pregnancy rate could increase to nearly 80%, which is significantly ahead of the general pregnancy rate of 30% to 50%; and the miscarriage rate has also dropped from an average of 20% to 5%; the pregnancy rate of high-grade embryos is 3 times higher than that of ordinary embryos.
