Introduction:The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of pre-implantation embryo diagnosis on the delivery of healthy fetuses for patients with chromosome translocations.
Methods:Pre-implantation embryos were diagnosed with fluorescence in situ hybridization.
RESULTS:Of the 27 patients receiving embryo transfer, 9 got successful pregnancy. Among them, 7 delivered healthy babies, healthy fetus was prenatal diagnosed in another patient still in pregnancy, and abortion was resulted in only one patient.
Conclusion:Couples with chromosome translocation may benefit from pre-implantation diagnosis.
