What is ovulation bleeding? What causes ovulation bleeding?
There are 3 phases in women's menstruation period: follicular phase, ovulation, and luteal phase.

Follicular phase begins with rising in FSH and a few follicles are stimulated.
Only one dominant follicle will continue to maturity till the end of the follicular phase and is released from the ovary.
The remaining follicles transform into the corpus luteum and produce hormones, initiating the formation of endometrium.
If pregnancy does not happen, the falling of  hormones will trigger menstruation.
Ovulation bleeding refers to slight bleeding during ovulation, which is around the second week of the menstruation period.
It is caused by low progesterone levels leading to the discharge of endometrium. When the level of progesterone becomes stable, the bleeding will stop.

  • stay happy and release the pressure

Will ovulation bleeding affect the chances of pregnancy?
Normally ovulation bleeding will not affect preparation for pregnancy.
But bleeding might affect sexual intercourse during ovulation, hence affecting the chances of pregnancy.
If a couple has been preparing for pregnancy for over one year and did not succeed, please consult with infertility.
