Researches suggested that Vitamin D deficiency could lead to infertility!
LWH has conducted researches on nearly 4,000 women last year and found that the proportion of women with Vitamin D concentrations below than 20 ng/ml was as high as 35%, and only 18% of them met the standard. This result is worse than most of the developed countries. Our hospital and international research papers have pointed out that women with higher Vitamin D concentration have about 5% higher blastocyst number, blastocyst rate and pregnancy rate. Conversely, Vitamin D deficiency could lead to infertility and decrease in sperm amount. Superintender Dr. Mao-Sheng Lee reminded those who are preparing for pregnancy to intake Vitamin D supplements. CEO Dr. Chun-I Lee suggested that women should be exposed to the sun for 10 to 15 minutes a day, and they can also eat more fish, mushrooms, etc., which are all effective ways to increase the concentration of Vitamin D.
